Indianapolis was host to the first ever Horror Hound Weekend Horror convention. Here are some of the photos I took at the event...

First was the dealer's part of the main room. There were masks, toys, props, cds, and just about every horror movie ever made on DVD.

There were some movie props on display as well. These were items that were actually used in the movies. Here are a few of them. There was Freddy's sweater and hat, several items from the new Texas Chainsaw including one of the chainsaws, the axe used in Sleepy Hollow, the coat worn by the creature from Jeepers Creepers 2, and the saw from saw. One guy paid to let them take his picture holding the texas chainsaw. They told him to be carefull. If he broke it, it would cost him 4 grand.

The place was packed with all kinds of people. Some came sporting their favorite horror movies or characters on their t-shirts (A LOT of black shirts!) and a few came in full costumes.

And then there were the stars. I thought I would have to wait in line for hours to get to see these people but on Friday night and Sunday morning, you could walk right up and chat. It was great. First comes my childhood hero. Sammy Terry. Sammy was only there 2 hours Saturday but there was a huge line of fans to see him. WWE Champ Chris Jericho was there as well as P.J. Soles from Carrie, the original Halloween, and Devil's Rejects. "Totally"

Next was Tony Todd from "The Candyman" as well as many other shows and movies. You can not tell here but when he stood up, he is one tall guy! Another Tony was Tony Moran, he was the face of the first Michael Myers from the original Halloween. He played Myers at the end of the movie when Laurie pulled off the mask. His sister is Erin Moran of "Happy Days" fame. Then there was Ken Foree. This guy is huge as well! You might remember him from the 78 version of Dawn of the Dead or from the Devil's Rejects. He is also going to be in Black Santa's Revenge and the new Rob Zombie Halloween.

Next is Michael Bailey Smith. One look at his listing on imdb and you can see he has been a very busy actor. Two roles he did lately have been Pluto from the new Hills Have Eyes and as Hades in Hills Have Eyes 2
Then the "Crazy Babysitter Twins" from the new Grindhouse movie showed up and Michael went down to get a double hug from the girls. The twins were quite popular with the male guests.

Another Male favorite was "Black Betty". She won the title as Miss HorrorFest and is the iconic face for this years 8 Films to Die For coming in November.
Also Jennifer Lim from Hostel was there. Looks like she grew her eye back.
Next to her was Walter Phelan "Dr Satan" from the Rob Zombie films and Ari Lehman who was Jason in the very first Friday the 13th. He now fronts a band called First Jason.
Close by was Roberto Campanella who played several characters in the movie Silent Hill including Pyramid Head.

James Duval (Frank the Rabbit from Donnie Darko) was next to Hanna Hall. Hanna was the young Jenny in Forest Gump (Run Forrest, Run) and is Judith Myers in Zombie's Halloween.
Andrew Bryniarski, the new Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw remakes, was also there. The guy had arms as thick as most poeople's legs.
And author/actor Joe Knetter was there. I love his sign in the background telling what he does.

Me with some of the stars and my wife in the Saw II bear trap,

Last but not least came the three people I was most excited to meet. The Rejects themselves, Bill Moseley and Sid Haig. Bill Moseley played Choptop in the 82 version of Texas Chainsaw 2, he played Otis in Devil's Rejects, and has a huge list of film credits including the 1990 vesion of Night of the Living Dead, and Army of Darkness.
Sid Haig, Captain Spaulding himself, has found a whole new career since and fan base because of his role in the Zombie films. His list of TV credits go way back including being in such classic shows as the original Star Trek, Batman, and The Fugitive. Both men were great to talk to and more than willing to just sit and chat with you.
The make up master and actor, Tom "Living Dead" Savini.

I had Tom Savini autograph a photo for me to give away on Terror Haute in October of 07. I also had both Bill Moseley and Sid Haig autograph a photo together that I also plan to give away this October. I even asked them to pose with the autograph just to prove they are the real deal! Details on the giveaway as Halloween gets closer.
